perhaps the only pursuit that ever was.
killing off the fake, becoming the real, is all that we need and believe in.
i can't do what i don't know how to do, even if i want to.
but to try is to learn, and in failing, we destroy the fear that paralyzed us in the first place.
can a boy become a man without pain and selfish pursuits? every generation
has hoped that it was possible, believed it to be possible. but with every generation that passes, the hope of the older is failed to be passed to the younger. each people-group forms its own identity, not in the wake of its predecessor, but rather directly alongside. each child smiles at the mistakes of its parents even as they create their own. reactionary at best, ignorant at worst,
the way of the child as he forms his own identity in the vacuum left by his parents is among the most hopeful and the most enthusiastically observed phenomenon of an age.
and it is here that my story begins.
