sometimes i wonder, whether
the end will justify the means. whether,
looking back on my life, i will see that it all made sense, that \
i was glad to take those hits in the temporary, i shouldn't be so short-minded. that all the
feelings i felt back then-- the youthfulness, the passion, the virtue
were either false, or transient and that
if not better-- that this way of life is at least
just as good, that i am leaving the bad and the lustful
and embracing the slow-moving, the limited
in scope and in embrace, everything must be thought and re-thought,
brought before a panel, discussed in open hearing, bogged down in debate
and endless discussion before we finally just end up
making out for awhile, snogging on the couch
and going to bed early
