sometimes running in circles is the best way to be, i
think. i mean, doesn't each week end where the next begins? and
our cash fund dwindles just as speedily as it is refilled
and i try to find a balance between work and play, all this
overtime is bringing in money, so much money,
but it still isn't enough, and i want to sleep in, to
take a day off, to
go to d.c. for the day, to
find a new car.
my writing seems to be fading a way from me, my
breathing is shallow and thoughts don't make much sense any more
but is it because i can no longer dream about things?
or is it because, my life, is just,
no longer poetic? i would obviously
much rather believe the second, and not the first, because
i still dream, but my dreams can sometimes be
not as wild, not as zigzaggy, insane,
but, i think,
that is o kay.
maybe it's just lynchburg doing this to me.
but i know that also, at least partially, it's because of
getting married. what it does to you is this, it
takes away all senses of urgency. it gives
peace and security, and it makes
quiet times, just as nice sometimes
as the fall-off-your-chair-drunk times
or the scream-out-your-car-window times
or the dance-yourself-silly times.
and i think a good cuddle sometimes is
just as rewarding as anything else.
and not finishing your thoughts
is frankly okay some times because
she can finish them for you
and she does
so
baby, i love you
